Why do I need a subscription?
As with a website, a virtual tour needs to be hosted online. This allows it to be easily shared, embedded on a website, and viewed without needing special software. Just like website hosting, there will be a need for support and maintenace with associated costs.
Hosting fees can vary depending on how many seperate spaces you require and . We charge our clients £12 per month to host a virtual tour space. We prefer monthly billing as it offers more flexibility. For instance, if we’ve built a virtual tour to market a property that sells within a couple of months, it’s unfair to tie our clients into 12 months of hosting they probably won’t need.
How long does it take to scan for a virtual tour?
An accurate time scale can only be provided once we have seen your venue. Scanning a venue depends on the size and complexity of it. For example, a furnished property will take longer to scan than an empty property of similar size, and the smaller the venue, the faster the scan.
For a rough guide scan times will be:
- 1–4,000 ft2 (372 m2): 1–3 hours
- 4,000–10,000 ft2 (929 m2): 2–5 hours
- 10,000–30,000 ft2 (2,787 m2): 5–8 hours
How will my venue be scanned?
We use Matterport Pro cameras, ideal for scanning spaces of any size. These cameras deliver digital and print-ready 4k high-resolution images and 3D data with 99% accuracy that can be used to generate floor plans, BIM files, and other 3D-enabled add-ons.
Who needs to be present during a scan of a venue?
Quite simply, for best results as few as possible. Early morning, evenings and weekends when footfall is at its lowest or the venue is closed are the best times to arrange a scan and we are happy to scan at these times at no extra charge. Having said that it is possible to include staff if that is what is required, and we can advise on the best way to achieve that during the scan.
How do I prepare for a scan?

What is a tag or ‘infopoint’ (Information point)?
Tags, or Information Points, are clickable interactive elements that you can add to your tour that will be helpful or will improve the effectiveness of the tour for your visitors. These ‘infopoints’ can contain items such as additional photos, text, menus, opening times, welcome videos, business cards, galleries, PDF’s, URL links, etc… Multiple ‘infopoints’ can be added to each scene/room.
How do I access my 3D virtual tour?
Once the scan has been captured, we will fine-tune the model, adding any additional infopoints, links, business cards, bespoke navigation, media and extract any high-quality images needed, and add-ons such as floorplans. Once finished, you’ll receive your virtual tour for a final review and any last-minute amendments before it goes live on our hosting platform. Then links to your hosted virtual tour and website embed code are provided along with any other services ordered.
